Crossbite and Underbite
Expander, Braces and Early Treatment (Phase I)
5 cases at Elate Orthodontics
Phase I is limited treatment, usually between ages 7 and 10, for a problem that gets harder to fix with time: a crossbite, an underbite, severe crowding or front teeth at risk of injury.
For most kids it doesn't replace braces later. It makes the second phase simpler, and it can reduce the need for extractions or surgery down the road.
