For Immediate Release  ·  September 2026 Nonprofit Partner

Most people at a Friday night game in Frisco are watching the field. The Panther Creek Silverados spend the whole week getting ready for the few minutes at halftime when the stands turn around and watch them instead. This season, Elate Orthodontics is one of the names behind them.

FRISCO, TEXAS. Elate Orthodontics, the family owned orthodontic practice serving North Texas from three offices, two in Frisco and one in The Colony, is sponsoring the Panther Creek High School Silverados dance team for the 2026 to 2027 school year. The Silverados are the practice’s September partner in its 2026 Twelve-Month Nonprofit Initiative, a commitment to support one community organization every month for a year.

The initiative started with the 3to1 Foundation and has since supported A Motivating Love, the St. Martin de Porres gala in Prosper, the Prosper Eagle Baseball Booster Club, and the Radicubs robotics team in Frisco. September moves it to a high school performance program.

“

Panther Creek is a few minutes up the road from our North Frisco office. These are our neighbors, and their kids are the age we treat every day. What we did not want was to write one check in the spring and call it community involvement. Picking one organization a month forces us to actually show up twelve times a year.

A Team Just Up the Road From Our North Frisco Office

Panther Creek High School opened in 2022 at 1875 PGA Parkway in Frisco, 75033. That is the same ZIP code as our North Frisco office at 2155 University Drive, which makes the Silverados about as local a program as we could pick.

The team was established in the fall of 2022 and is now in its fifth year. The 2025 to 2026 roster carried 20 line members, two managers, and one director, Kathryn Cody, who trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and modern dance and holds a dance degree from the University of North Texas.

Panther Creek draws from Stafford, Wilkinson, and Trent middle schools. We were at the Wilkinson Middle School health fair back in March, talking to a lot of the same families whose kids are now in high school. Hollyhock, Windsong Ranch, and the neighborhoods along Rolater and Legacy feed into all of it.

What a Silverados Season Actually Looks Like

A dance team season is longer than most people outside it realize. It runs from August football through a spring show, and the sponsorship helps carry the program across all of it.

🏈
01 · FALL PERFORMANCE SEASON
Football games and pep rallies through the fall, which is the part of the season most of Frisco actually sees.
🏆
02 · SPRING COMPETITION
Regional Crowd Pleasers dance competitions in the early spring, where the team competes against other schools.
🎭
03 · THE SPRING SHOW
The team’s annual showcase, which also features the Panther Creek dance classes, the cheerleaders, PC Cologuard, and the senior boys.
💵
04 · THE COSTS BEHIND IT
Costumes, choreography, competition entry, and the ordinary program expenses that families would otherwise carry on their own.

Why an Orthodontic Practice Sponsors a Dance Team

High school is when most orthodontic treatment happens. The same year a student is learning a competition routine, she is often in the middle of braces or a set of Angel Aligners, getting photographed at every game, and standing in front of a full gym at a pep rally. Those two things happen to the same kid at the same time.

So a performance program is not a strange fit for us. It is the same age group, the same families, and the same few years.

Dance is a sport whether the schedule calls it one or not. There is conditioning, there is practice before school, and there is a season that does not really end. If we are going to support high school athletics in Frisco, this belongs on the list.
