FRISCO, TEXAS. Dr. Kevin Baharvand, DMD, MS, co-founder of Elate Orthodontics, has been recognized as a 2026 Mom Approved healthcare professional by DFWChild, the Dallas-Fort Worth parenting magazine. The honor goes to individual providers who are nominated by local parents and then vetted by the magazine’s editorial staff.
How Mom Approved works
DFWChild asks local parents which healthcare providers they trust with their kids. Parents submit the nominations themselves. A provider’s own family, coworkers, and marketing reps aren’t allowed to nominate, and every nominee is vetted by DFWChild’s editorial staff, including a check that their license is active and in good standing.
There’s no paid placement involved. A practice can’t buy its way onto the list, which is exactly why it carries weight with other parents.

About Dr. Baharvand
Dr. Baharvand is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. His clinical work was featured on the cover of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, he serves on the Orthotown editorial board, and he lectures nationally on clear aligners and practice management. He treats kids, teens, and adults at all three Elate offices in West Frisco, North Frisco, and The Colony.
