Some people are born without certain adult teeth, most often the upper lateral incisors beside the front two.
There are two main paths. Hold the space for an implant or bridge later, or move the canines forward into that spot and reshape them to look like laterals, which is called canine substitution. Neither is right for everyone. Canine shape and color, the bite and the face all matter, and it's a plan made together with your general dentist.
