25 cases at Elate Orthodontics

Overjet Before and After Photos

25 overjet cases treated at our Frisco and The Colony offices: 17 with braces, 7 with clear aligners and 1 with expander.

Overjet is how far the upper front teeth sit ahead of the lowers, front to back. Most people call it buck teeth. It isn't the same thing as an overbite, though the two often show up together.

Upper teeth that stick out are the first to hit the floor, the trampoline or a teammate's elbow, and a large overjet is a known risk factor for chipped and broken front teeth. Lips also have to work harder to close over them.
