Crossbite and Midline Shift
Clear Aligners
2 cases at Elate Orthodontics
2 midline shift cases treated at our Frisco and The Colony offices: 2 with clear aligners.
The midline is the line between the two upper front teeth, and the matching line between the lowers. When they don't line up with each other or with the face, it's usually a symptom: crowding on one side, a missing tooth, a crossbite or uneven jaw growth.
So the fix depends on the cause. Small differences are common and often not worth chasing. Large ones usually come with a bite problem, and that's what gets treated.
