Crossbite Before and After Photos

A crossbite is when upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth instead of outside them. In the front it can lock a single tooth behind the lowers. In the back it often points to a narrow upper jaw, and kids will sometimes slide the jaw to one side just to get their teeth to meet.

Left alone, a front crossbite can wear enamel and push on the gum of the lower tooth in front of it. A back crossbite in a child usually starts with an expander.
